Interior and architectural design.
DETAILS // Building and interior design renovation for the ZADCO workforce amenity center at Zirku Island.
The amenity center building was constructed in the early 1980’s on Zirku Island for the workforce that was located at this island for oil exploration activities. Zirku Island is a significant hub for oil and gas operations in the Middle East for ZADCO and hence the importance of this facility providing the appropriate function and amenities.
In 2012 this building required a renovation of the interior design and exterior architecture which was provided by RW Armstrong. The scope of work included updated design to be aesthetically fresh and incorporate the needs of the client ZADCO.
In addition, the scope of services included managing the site survey and report, special studies, evaluation and redesign of existing utilities, interior design, architectural design, costs and schedule documentation.
After the upgrade the facilities now include 2 dining halls with 2 kitchens, recreation and sports area, TV hall, majilis, praying area, banking facilities, model room, barber shop, cinema hall, gymnasium and offices for key personnel. Externally, the facilities have 2 swimming pools with changing rooms, and fountains.
