RW Armstrong provided project management services for the design and construction services for Al Reef development master plan, a model residential city with villas, townhouses, apartments, a four star hotel, retail area plus community center. The development is located on a plot of 100 hectare area and is located in the Al Reef area near Abu Dhabi International Airport.
The development is divided into villa cluster grouped in four themes: Arabian, Desert, Mediterranean and Contemporary with a central area, comprising over
2,300 villas and townhouses of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedrooms.
Al Reef will also contain a supermarket, retail facilities and over 1,800 apartments in a mix of studios, 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms in a core district known as The Downtown which is composed of 46 buildings of 5 stories each in the central area. Each residential district is gated for security and has a theme for its architecture. Community facilities such as a swimming pool and community center will be provided. Al Reef will also include a school, operations and maintenance facilities and mosques. The pedestrian commercial plaza will contain a wide range for shops and restaurants.
The entire development will eventually accommodate approximately 15,000 residents.
