RW Armstrong provided budgetary cost estimate for the master plan for Green City, New Cairo being developed by Barwa Real Estate Development, Qatar.

Barwa New Cairo project is regarded as one of the biggest real estate development in new urban communities.

The project is one of many new cities popping up around Cairo’s periphery to alleviate over-population and create better living conditions. The development has a planned gross built area of 8.5 million square meters, and has an anticipated completion date of 2024. Barwa New Cairo will become a major destination within New Cairo city, which is a natural extension to one of the world's largest and most historical cities. The development will include several unique villages containing every imaginable choice of lifestyles, from gated villas and townhouses to high-rise apartments.

Altogether the project will contain almost 39,000 residential units, and will also include office buildings, 3 hotels, schools, hospitals, mosques, parks, shopping complexes, health facilities, and many other amenities.
