RW Armstrong provided infrastructure master planning services to support this development. The work included evaluating the existing road system to determine the necessary improvements as well as develop overall trip generation patterns to determine the number and type of roadways required for the development. Work also included evaluating the existing roadway system surrounding the site for necessary upgrade. Necessary water and wastewater treatment systems were also evaluated as part of this effort.
This development, will be built in stages over a decade and will consist of mixed residential homes of varying densities coupled with a signature golf course, several four star hotels, commercial areas as well as a new harbor providing deep water access to the sea.
Concepts considered as part of the planning phase included a healthy living option, a new town community completely self-contained, and a resort style community.
The development is being planned to support a population of between 75,000 and 150,000 at as currently conceived, will provide Tunisia the opportunity to capture their share of the market as a resort destination.
