In this Urban Park Revitalization project, the history of the U.A.E. and significance of the path of H.H. Sheikh Zayed toward the unity of the Seven emirates is materialized in the Zayed River with its full-length feature fountain. This feature connects the site entrance with the center of Unity Plaza at the east end of the park, under the ring of unity that brings together all seven emirates. Recycled dhow boat wood provide sunshades and historical interest.  The Future is represented with a children’s museum contained within the ring structure that, together with the seven spaces around the ring, allows allocation for multiple recreational activities such as children's engineering and medical educational activities. The main park access and sight line of Zayed River is aligned with elements of the Corniche to ensure the park is an extension of the activity at the Abu Dhabi Waterfront.

 

Other areas of the park support theatre events and concerts, athletic fields, food and beverage and specialty retail facilities that bring activities of connectivity and technology to the park.  Car parking is located below one half of the park area.
