DETAILS // New 2,500m2 Consulate building consisting of Diplomatic Services, VIP Reception and Consular Residence.
RW Armstrong were appointed to provide full design and construction supervision services for the new Bahrain Consulate in Dubai. The main objective of the Client is to have an elegant and distinctive building that openly expresses the mission and vision of the Bahrain Government.
The building is of a contemporary Arabic design reflecting strong elements of Bahraini architecture and utilizing distinctive materials associated with The Kingdom of Bahrain. The courtyard, being a strategic element in Bahraini Architecture & Culture, is centrally located and links directly to each component of the Consulate as an organizational element for the project. The courtyard is a place to gather privately for personal reflection, casual meetings and consular events. The landscape has been designed to play an important role in the courtyard providing colour and scent to the atmosphere dominated by fragrant flowers, fountains and canals.
