DETAILS // A 167 berth VIP marina with club house facilities for yachts and super yachts.
The Emirates Palace Company is undertaking the refurbishment and further expansion of the Emirates Palace hotel marina that is located in the basin in front of the hotel.
The marina will provide berthing places for 167 yachts with various sizes ranging from 15 to 60 meters in length. The overall project includes floating concrete pontoons guided by steel piles, fender system, two rock breakwaters, harbor master office platform, fuel supplying berth, VIP lounge platform, MEP facilities, equipment and furniture for high comfort of berthing and mooring for yachts.
RW Armstrong provided construction supervision, consultancy services and design review for this project. In addition, RW Armstrong managed the contractor, coordinated between the designer and the contractor, determining the optimum construction strategy and schedule, selecting the procurement strategy for the construction, ensuring that all design and construction works are on schedule. RW Armstrong was also responsible for executing a project management level design review of all aspects of the project; marine, structural, civil and MEP to ensure that the requirements of the client are incorporated.
